Help Us Recognize the Very Best in Direct Service

Passion, compassion and the use of good data

Today more than ever, vulnerable populations and communities throughout Greater Cleveland need access to reliable, high-quality, and high-performing social service programs and services. In order to ensure that organizations can more sustainably improve the lives of the individuals they serve, such programs and services, as well as the ongoing support that helps to make them possible, must be built on a bedrock of strategic decision making, outcomes data and beneficiary voice infusion.

At Saint Luke’s Foundation, we are proud to co-sponsor, along with the Baltimore, Maryland-based Superstar Foundation, a Superstar Award for 2019. This award recognizes the very best direct service staff who distinguish themselves and their work by using data to adjust their service delivery approach while intentionally striving to build transformational relationships with those being served. It is intended to augment the financial compensation of high-performing human service professionals, while also serving as an example for others who are striving to improve their effectiveness. This award aligns well with the Foundation’s core value to "hold ourselves and our grantees accountable for evaluating and continuously learning from our shared efforts and results."

Deadline extended to October 31!

The Superstar Award is a $5,000 cash prize awarded to a deserving nominee in Cuyahoga CO.

The local winner will automatically be included as a finalist for the national Veronica Award.

About the Superstar Foundation

The Superstar Foundation was founded in 2007 with a two-fold mission:

  • To identify and reward individuals who use data to improve outcomes for underserved individuals, families and communities.
  • To promote and advance transformative relationships as the driving force to outcome achievement in the social services sector;

As health, education and social services continue to progress towards better measurement of outcomes, the Superstar Foundation believes that transformative relationships and a commitment to data-based decision making at the level of engagement is the key to all long-term, sustainable improvement in the lives of those we serve.
